ENVIRONMENT: At Arlec we are aware of the environment around us and actively engage in evolving our work practices and processes in order to reduce our environmental impact, our Environmental Policy is provided below:
AUSTRALIAN PACKAGING COVENANT: Arlec have acknowledged their responsibility to protect our environment from excessive litter and packaging waste by becoming a signatory to the Australian Packaging Covenant, a Stewardship program that is a voluntary initiative by Government and Industry to reduce the environmental impacts of packaging. It is designed to minimise the environmental impacts arising from the disposal of used packaging, conserve resources through better design and production processes and facilitate the re-use and recycling of used packaging materials.
In order to meet this responsibility Arlec have formulated an Action Plan which has been approved by the Australian Packaging Covenant Council, this Action Plan is monitored on an annual basis by the Australian Packaging Covenant Secretariat via a rigorous reporting regime.
